Did you know we supply seasonal cut flowers to local florists as well as direct to the customer?

You can reduce your carbon footprint by choosing locally grown flowers from us and other flower farms across Britain. Today, an estimated 90% of the flowers sold through florists, supermarkets and wholesalers are imported not just from Holland but flown in from growers as far afield as Ecuador, Colombia, Kenya and even Ethiopia. These flowers will have been bred to withstand the rigours of international shipping and mass production. As a result they do not have the fragrance, texture or character of a locally grown British flower. I can’t help be transported back to my gran’s garden when I smell a bunch of fresh flowers! How do you feel when you receive a fresh seasonal bouquet or bucket of blooms?!

The passion of small flower farms

We might be small, but the passion of small flower farms and growers is mighty!

Where do florists buy flowers? Vintage and Flowers of course!

Locally grown flowers can be picked fresh, prepared and delivered to you within hours. All our flowers are individual with their own nature informal character and beauty – no 2 stems will be the same! Infact, I encourage each flower to express themselves in the cutting garden and show their personality! By growing seasonally, there is nothing more exciting than waiting for the first blooms, the snowdrops first, followed by the bright colour of narcissi while we wait for the tulips to poke their weary heads up through the soil! Then its all systems go!  There is nothing more satisfying then cutting flowers from the farm and seeing the face of the customer when they receive them.

Various colour mixes are available, all made with British flowers and foliage, which gives local florists here in the North East, more control about what they buy and how far the flowers have travelled. We can supply seasonal buckets or by the stem, just ask! If its bouquets you would like, all of our seasonal bouquets are wrapped in tissue and paper and tied with vintage ribbon.
